Cyst Aspiration
A treatment called a cyst aspiration is used to remove fluid from a breast cyst. Although some cysts are highly sensitive, the vast majority of them are benign (non-cancerous). A cyst's fluid may be aspirated to relieve symptoms or discomfort. Specimens are occasionally sent to pathology.
